#NewYearNewGames. 2021 has gotten off to a pretty stressful start, but at least there are plenty of new releases due this year to have something to look forward to if the World doesn’t end. From the hope of Zelda anniversary releases, to a really highly anticipated game about fish by a really great studio.
Breath of the Wild 2
With it being the 35 year anniversary of Zelda, we’re all (not so) patiently awaiting the release of Breath of the Wild 2 (or pretty much anything Zelda tbh.)
Resident Evil Village
Set a few years after Resident Evil: Biohazard, the tenth major instalment in the Resident Evil series sees the return of Ethan Winters and Chris Redfield in a new, twisted nightmare.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Announced two years ago, the sequel to the much-loved indie game features a new playable character (Hornet) as well as unseen enemies and worlds to explore. Similar to the first game. Silksong will allow players to explore an expansive world, completing quests and gaining new abilities throughout the game to build open new avenues of gameplay.
A souls like game with RPG elements, although little information has been released on this game, what we do know has us as ready as you can ever be for the undoubtedly infuriating combat about to head our way.
Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires
Spent more time than I should have during work hours persuading people to play this game when I should have been writing this blog. Also you reading this should also play because the series is a lot of fun.
Atmospheric, relaxing and beautiful this game follows a young woman as she rides through the unknown and surreal world of Season. Solitary and pensive, the purpose of this game is to document, photograph, draw and record the world surrounding the character.
Oh, wow how did this game get here? If you’re as excited for a game about fish who drive around in tanks and blasting each other with powerups to collect the most starfish then make sure to wishlist the game on Steam.
